Utah FFA National Officer Candidate

Submitted by lana.hiskey on

Congratulations to Sakia Brost in Nebo School Distict and of the Salem Hills FFA Chapter for being selected to represent Utah as our National FFA Officer Candidate.

Sakia knows the value of hard work and it shows through her dedication to her Sheep Production SAE. Her sheep operation continues to grow each year and she has become well known throughout the state for her quality genetics. Not only does Sakia manage her own herd, she works for her family’s operation as the lambing manager where she successfully lambs out 800 ewes each spring.

Sakia served as the Utah FFA State President in 2016-2017 and is currently attending Utah State University studying Agricultural Education. She hopes to one day have a career where she can use her leadership skills while learning and growing in the production agriculture industry. Sakia will represent Utah at the 90th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis in October. She will participate in a series of interviews, workshop facilitations, and speeches with nearly 50 other candidates from across the country.

Good luck Sakia! #engagestudents #empowerstudents #nebohero
