Salem Hills High students shined in the Fairchild Challenge held in April at Thanksgiving Point. Schools from all over Utah had the chance to participant in this creative-friendly competition. Salem Hills blasted through the competition and placed third overall, winning $250.

Chris Roberts was awarded Governor's Leadership in the Arts Awards at the Mountain West Arts Conference. Conference attendees viewed a photo collage of Chris in action at Rees Elementary, various conferences and universities throughout the state of Utah and the country.

On April 25, 2012, Nebo School District’s sixth-grade orchestra students took center stage--well actually, the whole stage at Salem Hills High School to present Nebo District's 4th Annual Sixth-grade Orchestra Monster Concert.
The Diamond Fork Junior High School (DFJHS) Science Olympiad team placed fourth overall in the state compeition, out of 34 teams that competed. The team worked hard together, being tested in several science-related areas of knowledge.
