Landmark High School is pleased to host the Nebo School District Science Fair on Wednesday and Thursday, February 23 and 24, 2011. The Nebo Science Fair will be held in the gym of Landmark High School located at 612 South Main, Spanish Fork.
Springville Chamber of Commerce holds Awards Banquet and Installation
President Jay Knight welcomed chamber members and guests to the annual awards banquet. He introduced the new board members and officers. The meal was provided by Utah Celebrations Catering.
The Nebo Education Foundation board met in February to discuss the grants submitted by Nebo School District teachers and fund worthwhile projects in the district that provide resources to enrich student learning.
Teachers from Canyon Elementary voted one of their colleagues to receive the Crystal Apple Award–Kalani Reed on January 25, 2011.
Art City's Crystal Apple Award goes to Mrs. Barbara Miner, kindergarten teacher at Art City Elementary. The award was presented by Craig Harvey and is sponsored by Horace Mann Insurance; teachers nominate their peers for the award.
Principal Alison Hansen introduced the gifted and talented program that included the Brockbank debate team. Ms. Kristel Peterson, advisor for debate, said that out of the eight awards, Brockbank won six at the district debate competition.
