The Nebo Education Foundation is in the business of giving grants to teachers and schools to help enrich student learning. However, this week Get Away Today gave money to the Nebo Education Foundation to help fund those grants.
Nebo School District retires 47 employees in 2011 that included 1,234.5 years of service. Twenty-five of those retirees are certified teachers including 726 years of service, and twenty-two retirees are classified employees with 508.5 years of service.

Nebo High School Students Build Upscale House for Sale
Lynn Mecham was appointed by the Nebo Board of Education as the Assistant Principal of Springville High.
With the new vacancy left by Lynn Mecham in the transportation department, the Nebo School Board appointed Joe Warren as the Transportation Supervisor.
Cathi Jarvis, Springville High’s Athletic Director, received the National Award of Merit 2011 by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) this spring. There is only one award per state. Cathi was selected out of all the other athletic directors in Utah.
On April 27, 2011, Maple Mountain High School and Nebo Districts Special Education held the first annual Nebo Superstars Track and Field Day for students in our special needs units around the district.
