Frank Daybell

Nebo School Board of Education appointed Mr. Frank Daybell as Director of Operations.

Mr. Daybell received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and his Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Southern Utah University.

Frank has been employed by Nebo School District for 23 years. He began his career at Sage Creek Elementary School teaching 5th grade for six years. He then served as an Instructional Coach for one year followed by his appointment as the Principal of Taylor Elementary School. He served in that capacity for six years before moving to Spring Lake Elementary School as the principal for two years.  For the past eight years he has worked in the District Office as the Operations Coordinator.

A colleague said, “Frank has been a huge support for me throughout our time together. He has made every effort to build relationships and learn the multiple facets of the Operations Department. I am confident Frank will lead and move the department forward.”

When asked about who has made a difference in his life, he said, “My parents: They gave me a safe home filled with love and taught me the value of hard work and how to treat other people. My 1st grade teacher, Steve Averett: He inspired me to be a teacher. My wife, Angie: Still the best decision I have ever made. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. My five children and daughter in laws: They taught me patience and unconditional love. I am a better person because of them.”

One of his personal mottos comes from his dad, “Keep your nose clean,” Frank’s dad would always say this to him before he left the house. Frank said, “53 years later it is still the best advice I have ever received. It has kept me out of a lot of trouble.”

Frank enjoys spending time with his wife Angie and five children Chase, Madison, Will and Mikkele, Sam, and Jack and Karly. You can also find him  gardening, raising chickens and turkeys, being outdoors, and traveling.

Mr. Daybell would like to thank Matt Gledhill for taking a chance on him eight years ago and bringing him into the Operations Department. Mr. Daybell said, “Matt has been so much more than just a boss. He has been a friend and mentor to me and so many others. His leadership and friendship will be missed.”
