Dave Knudsen – Operations Coordinator

David Knudsen

The Nebo School District Board of Education appointed Dave Knudsen as the Operations Coordinator.

Mr. Knudsen has been employed by Nebo School District for 24 years, beginning as a teacher at Springville Middle School. He then started his journey as an administrator as the Assistant Principal of Springville Junior High, followed by the Assistant Principal at Maple Mountain High. He was appointed as the Principal at Salem Junior High before moving to his current position as the Principal of Valley View Middle School.

Dave earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education with a Minor in History from Brigham Young University and Master of Education Degree in Administration from Brigham Young University.

Dave is married to Kathy, and they have four children. He loves to travel with his family, watch and play sports, and, most of all, just spend time with his family and grandchildren.

Mr. Knudsen loves the quote by Theodore Roosevelt, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." To fit education, he thinks of it as, "Students will not show you how much they know until they know how much you care."  Developing relationships with students is the key to getting them to learn, feel safe, and develop into successful adults.

Mr. Andersen earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and a Master of Education Degree in Math and Administration from Southern Utah University.

Garrett is married to Stephanie, and they have four children and one grandson. He enjoys basketball, hunting and spending time with his family.

Garrett’s personal motto is a quote from Howard Cosell, “The ultimate victory in competition is derived from the inner satisfaction of knowing that you have done your best and that you have gotten the most out of what you had to give.”
