Terry Krieger-James – Principal of Valley View Middle School

The Nebo School District Board of Education appointed Terry Krieger-James as the Principal of Valley View Middle School.

Terry has been employed by Nebo School District for 31 years, beginning her career as an English teacher for 23 years in a variety of schools in Nebo. She then served as the Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Salem Junior High School for three years before accepting her current position as the Assistant Principal of Maple Mountain High School for the past five years.  

Mrs. Krieger-James earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in English from Brigham  Young University and a Master of Education Degree in Administration from Southern Utah University.

Terry is married to Kurt, and they have three children and seven grandchildren. She loves to read classical literature, go to Disneyland, and think about exercising. She enjoys visiting the mountains, hugging trees, looking at the ocean, and spending time with her family.                           

Mrs. Krieger-James believes that students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members all need to be seen, heard, and connected to their school. We must always ask ourselves what is best for our students, and we must always remember that connections are key to emotional well-being and educational success.



Josh Jensen – Assistant Principal of Maple Mountain High School

Josh Jensen

The Nebo School District Board of Education appointed Josh Jensen as the Assistant Principal of Maple Mountain High School.

Josh has been employed by Nebo School district for 10 years, beginning as a football and wrestling coach before becoming the Family Career and Community Leaders of America Advisor at Spanish Fork High School. He began his teaching career as a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Spanish Fork High for five and a half years before accepting the Dean of Students position at Diamond Fork Middle School for the past year.

Mr. Jensen earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Science from Brigham Young University and his Master of Education Degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern Utah University.

Josh is married to Paisley, and they have three children.  He loves hiking, hunting, watching and playing sports, cooking, teaching, designing, and being with his family.                           

Josh’s personal motto is, "Always look to help." He believes that in every aspect of life, there is a way to help those around us if we are looking for it. 



Jaime Christensen – Assistant Principal of Mapleton Junior High School

The Nebo School District Board of Education appointed Jaime Christensen as the Assistant Principal of Mapleton Junior High School.

Jaime has been employed by Nebo School District for the past 11 years. She began her career at Payson High School teaching mathematics, followed by her time with the Nebo Online Summit as a Secondary Specialist. For the past year and a half, she has served as the Dean of Students of Spanish Fork High School. 

Mrs. Christensen earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Utah Valley University, Master of Education Degree from Western Governors University, and her Administrative License from Southern Utah University.

Jaime has four children with whom she loves spending her time. She also enjoys reading, puzzles, coloring, watching New Girl, reading Harry Potter, and listening to Taylor Swift.                              

Jaime’s favorite quote is from Simon Sinek, “Leadership is not about being in charge. Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge.”



Russ Sumens – Assistant Principal of Valley View Middle School

Russ Sumens

The Nebo School District Board of Education appointed Russ Sumens as the Assistant Principal of Valley View Middle School. 

Russ has been employed by Nebo School District for 12 years, beginning as a choir, general music, guitar, and theater teacher at both Payson Junior and Mt. Nebo Junior High. He then served as the Dean of Students at Diamond Fork Junior/Middle School and Springville Junior High School.

Mr. Sumens earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Dixie State University and his Master of Education Degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern Utah University.

Russ is married to Mindy, and they have three children. Russ loves to read. He finds that he will read himself to sleep most nights. His favorite author is Terry Pratchett. He enjoys solving riddles or puzzles likes sudoku or crosswords. He is a Cleveland Browns fan to his core and every year he truly believes the Browns will make an appearance in the Superbowl. Most of his time is spent with his family.
