Our College and Career Ready class had a memorable experience yesterday as they attended the Salem City Chamber Meeting, held at the brand new Salem City Fire and EMS station. This event provided a unique learning opportunity for our students to explore potential career paths and engage with community leaders.
Highlights of the Visit:
Recognition and Gifts: Our students were warmly acknowledged during the meeting and were honored with patches and a challenge coin from Chief of Police, Brad James. This token of appreciation serves as a reminder of their potential to contribute to their communities.
Career Inspiration: Chief James encouraged students to consider careers in Emergency Response, a field that plays a crucial role in community safety and well-being. This encouragement provided valuable insight into the rewarding opportunities available in this sector.
Tour of the New Fire Station: The students were given a tour of the newly built fire station, where they observed the latest facilities and technology used by our local heroes. It was an awe-inspiring experience that left a lasting impression on all who attended.
We are proud of our students for representing the Advanced Learning Center with such enthusiasm and curiosity. This experience not only broadened their horizons, but also strengthened their connection to the community!
