Here at Brookside, we have some amazing people working for us. We have a great supporting staff that has a variety of talents and who love the kids. Each year, we get to honor one of these individuals. This year’s Brookside’s Classified Employee is Jerrica Hancock.
Jerrica is a technician in our ACC class with Mrs. Ellinger. Mrs. Mijken Hall says, “She is caring and patient and kind. She is so positive with the students. We are so lucky to have her at Brookside!”
Mrs. Ellinger says, “Jerrica is so deserving of this award! She has worked in my class for almost 2 years and we all love her. She loves working with our students and has the innate ability to really connect with them. If a student is having a hard day, Jerrica is always able to bring a smile to their face and help them feel better. She brings such positivity into our classroom and we're so lucky to have Jerrica at Brookside.”
One of her coworkers, Tyralee Robinson says, “Jerrica is an amazing person. She cares deeply for all students that cross her path. She puts them and their needs before her own. She doesn’t lose patience with students, she makes sure they feel validated in their feelings while still helping them to make sure they are making the right choice. She is the first to lend a hand, show up, stay late, and make sure everyone is okay. She sees things and acts with compassion, caring, patience and love before anyone even asks. She is an absolute asset to everyone. It has been a joy to get to know her and be on her team, but even more so, to have her become one of my very good friends. Jerrica deserves this award! There is too much to say about how wonderful she truly is and not enough words to say it in. I am proud of her accomplishments and no one is more deserving than she is. Congratulations Jerrica!!
