A group of MGMS 7th-grade students had an unforgettable day exploring Park City’s rich history! Including a visit to the old Park City jail and the area’s historical mining areas, as well as checking out all kinds of cool equipment and stories from the past.
But the crowd favorite? An old subway car that was once used as a ski lift in the 1960s! 🚇🎿
Students were amazed to learn that people used to ride it 3 miles through dark mine tunnels, then get hoisted 1,700 feet straight up a mine shaft to reach the top of the mountain. 🗻🚠
