Yesterday, Spring Canyon Middle School proudly hosted the much-anticipated Battle of the Books competition, featuring ten enthusiastic teams. The event was a resounding success, with seven teams impressively scoring over 100 points, showcasing their love for reading and exceptional teamwork. The spirit of friendly competition was palpable, as students engaged with their favorite books and each other, demonstrating both knowledge and camaraderie. Each participant exhibited a passion for literature that was truly inspiring, making the event both educational and enjoyable for all involved.
However, it was the Novel Knights who emerged victorious, securing their place to represent SCMS at the Nebo School District Competition with an outstanding 147 points. Congratulations to team members Lucy White, Adeline Yost, Bree Christensen, Kenzie Christensen, Sharon Bowers, and Lily Meeks for their remarkable achievement. Their dedication and hard work paid off, earning them the top spot. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the teams for their hard work and enthusiasm. We also appreciate all of the parents who took time from their busy day to help with the competition.
