Students from Spring Canyon Middle School recently had the opportunity to participate in the Mathcounts Regional competition held at Brigham Young University. This exciting event brought together students from various schools spanning from Payson to Lehi, showcasing their mathematical prowess and collaborative spirit. Representing our school were dedicated sixth graders William Anderson, Drew Findlay, Zed Everitt, and Lawson Litchfield, alongside seventh graders Andrus Jensen, EJ Jensen, Raymond Walpole, Luke Maynard, Lorenzo Olson, and Isaac Payne. These talented young mathematicians demonstrated commendable teamwork and dedication, choosing to spend their Saturday tackling challenging math tests. Although they did not secure a win, the experience was enriching and enjoyable for all involved. The students relished the opportunity to engage with peers from other schools and enjoyed plenty of good food, making the day a memorable one. Their participation and enthusiasm are a testament to their commitment and passion for learning, setting a wonderful example for their peers.
