Students from Nebo School District participated in the Central Utah Regional Science and Engineering Fair this past week. Many of the amazing student scientists won awards at this fair - see categories and awards below.
Spanish Fork Fiesta Days is sponsoring the 2023 Fiesta Day Reading Challenge to all Spanish Fork elementary students. To encourage students to read, Spanish Fork City promotes a Rodeo Reading Challenge. The goal is for students to read more this year than last year.
All students and faculty at Spanish Fork High are safe. This was a false report of an active shooter at Spanish Fork High. Police responded quickly and lockdown protocol was immediately put into place. Police swept the building and have deemed it safe.

Congratulations to Springville High School, in Nebo School District, and their school PR Ambassador, Sarah Ferrin, for earning the Nebo #Hashtag Award.
The Spanish Fork Junior High Career Technology Education (CTE) ninth-grade Manufacturing Technology class and teacher, Eddy Rawlings, surprised the Nebo School Board of Education by presenting a gift the students had manufactured in their class, a LED Light Stand.
Last week, Goshen Elementary fifth-graders had the opportunity to visit the Utah County Sheriff's Campus in Spanish Fork. The students started out by visiting the 911 call center and learning what it takes to be a dispatcher.
