Kindness Challenge

As Term 3 came to an end, our teachers selected one students from each class to be our Kind Kid of the Quarter. "Being Needed" has been our focus during Term 3. Each term. Principal Youd introduces the attribute for the quarter during the "Principalās Read Aloud" and then students spend the entire term strengthening that attribute. Students nominated for the quarterly award receive a certificate, a swag bag with Sage Creek items, and a surprise yard sign at their house! New Kind Kids of the Quarter will be selected each term.

March Mental Health Series

On Friday, our 1st graders at Sage Creek wrapped up their History of the Earth unit with a hands-on adventure! They transformed into paleontologists, carefully "excavating fossils" (m&ms and chocolate chips) from cookies.
Then, they donned their geologist hats to break open geodes and discover the beautiful crystals inside.
Such an exciting way to learn about Earth's history and have fun while doing it!

Exciting news from Sage Creek Elementary! Our 1st graders are diving deep into the layers of the Earth with their CKLA Knowledge lessons. Last week, they got hands-on by creating pudding models of the Earthās crust, mantle, and core! This fun and delicious activity helps our young learners visualize and understand the complex structure of our planet.
Through engaging lessons, theyāre exploring how volcanoes and geysers provide clues about what lies beneath us. Stay tuned for more updates as our students continue their journey through The History of the Earth domain, learning about rocks, minerals, and even fossils!

XīnniÔn kuà ilè Happy New Year!
Today, our talented students from the Chinese Immersion Program showcased an incredible performance for our school community! Each grade sang beautifully, sharing songs that highlighted the richness of Chinese culture. We were also delighted to learn about the fascinating origin of the Chinese Zodiac, adding depth to our cultural understanding.
This performance was just a warm-up for tonightās grand event at Springville High School, where our students will join with those from the middle, junior high, and high school for an unforgettable celebration of culture and unity. We couldnāt be prouder of our students as they take this exciting step onto the larger stage!
Come and support our budding performers tonight and experience the magic of Chinese culture through music and storytelling. See you at Springville High School tonight (5:30-8:00)!

Mrs. Gleave's 4th graders have been learning about animal adaptations and habitats. They culminated their study by dissecting Owl Pellets and creating Bird Sculptures.
