Following are the Academic All-State winners:
Josie Reynaud, Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher at Salem Hills High, was honored as CTE Teacher of the Year by the Utah Association Career and Technical Education (UACTE).
On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, Conner Gates was asked to deliver the motivational message to begin the Spanish Fork City Council meeting. Mayor Steve Leifson asked Darryl Root, Senior Vice Commander of the local post of Veterans of Foreign Wars to introduce Conner:
Nebo School District received the E-MOD Hot Rod Safety Award by the Utah School Boards Insurance Association (USBIA). The USBIA honors school districts that promote workplace safety through their E-MOD Hot Rod recognition program.
The Nebo School Board of Education and Superintendent Nielsen meets with students from each of the high schools and junior high schools on a quarterly basis. Each Youth Board representative is selected by his/her principal to be a spokesperson for their school.
