He truly possesses the qualities and disposition of an outstanding administrator.”

“As educators we fulfill a special role as keepers of the present and future learning of our students. We do the work every day of ensuring our students grow and progress in our classrooms, but we also lay the foundation of their future success as we help them grow in skills and confidence that will enable them to fulfill their future potential,” stated Travis. “I consider myself incredibly lucky because I have had a few key people (many of them teachers) that have helped me to overcome challenges while instilling a confidence in me that I could overcome future obstacles as well. His physical stature is always a positive, intimidating thing when walking down the halls. Mapleton Junior will be in good hands with Brett.”

One of Brett’s favorite quotes from Winston Churchill is: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.”

I have been taught by caring, passionate teachers in this district and I have had the privilege to be led by talented leaders, who empowered me with opportunities to learn and grow in the profession.

“While I believe happiness is a decision, Ralph Waldo Emerson said, ‘The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.’ I appreciate that Nebo District has entrusted me with these opportunities to live well.”
