Utah Highway Patrol Gives Backpacks to Barnett and Wilson Elementary Schools

Barnett and Wilson Elementary Schools had some special guests delivering backpacks loaded with school supplies.

Corporal Wahlberg, with the Utah Highway Patrol, said, “This was the Utah Highway Patrol's first school supply drive and we are so grateful to have been able to donate to your school. Back in August we reached out to the community through social media and asked them to donate school supplies to each one of our section offices. The Women's Provo Elk Lodge played a tremendous part in the donations in your area as well as other community members. We are so grateful to be able to donate them and help the community in any way we can.”

“A HUGE 'shout out' to Sergeant Christensen, Corporal Bradford, and Corporal Wahlberg from our Utah Highway Patrol for coordinating the delivery of these gifts today to Barnett and Wilson Elementary Schools. Thank you so very much to all who donated to the drive to help support student learning!” exclaimed Principal Kali Brown.

Principal Larraine Nelson said, “Wilson Elementary wants to give a big thanks to our Utah Highway Patrol for  delivering backpacks with school supplies to our school!  Sergeant Christensen, Corporal Wahlberg, and Corporal Bradford were instrumental in this project. These backpacks will be so wonderful to give to students at Wilson and we appreciate the generosity of so many people!  Thanks from Wilson Elementary to our wonderful Utah Highway Patrol!”

Congratulations to Chelsey Pearson for answering this week's "Where are we Wednesday?" challenge sponsored by Wiggy Wash.
