In the recent October 2021 Nebo School Board of Education meeting, Cenergistic honored five Nebo Schools: three Nebo elementary schools, one junior high, and one high school as Best in Class 2021.
Adam Roberts, Nebo Energy Specialist, said, “I would first like to acknowledge the amazing job the faculty and staff have done at all of our schools. Their efforts keep contributing in a positive way to the energy program.”
The schools recognized for the Energy Use Reduction Program Performance from 2013 to 2021 include:
Goshen Elementary 32%
Sierra Bonita Elementary 38%
East Meadows Elementary 45%
Spanish Fork Junior 31%
Salem Hills High 37%
Superintendent Nielsen said, “Nebo School District believes in being responsible members of the community and in making responsible decisions with finances.”
This energy program delivers an environmental benefit from a reduced carbon footprint. Energy that is not used prevents the emission of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides.
A key component of reduced energy consumption is made possible through the dedication of all Nebo employees at each school and the custodial and maintenance departments including Energy Specialist Adam Roberts, as well as the Operations Director, Matt Gledhill, and the support of Superintendent Rick Nielsen and the Nebo School Board of Education.
Adam Roberts said, “Nebo strives to hit our goals by keeping utility costs as low as possible while trying to maintain a comfortable learning environment.”
Cenergistic gave a $2,500 donation to the Nebo Education Foundation to help provide grants to these dedicated Nebo Employees.
