Nebo School District honored Lance and Melanie Wilson with State Farm Insurance with the 2022 Business Educator Partner of the Year Award at the recent Spanish Fork/Salem Chamber banquet in January 2023.

Nebo School District and Nebo Education Foundation truly appreciates Business partners like Lance and Melanie Wilson. They give of their time, talent, and treasure to make our schools better. They are involved at many levels within our schools to help our Nebo students and educational community.

Various individuals submitted their appreciate of the Wilsons some of their comments include:

  • “Thank you for providing insurance for our Nebo Education Foundation that provides thousands of grants to our many teachers and students over the years.”
  • “Lance and Melanie have supported a variety of programs here at SHHS including football, wrestling, basketball and choir concerts.”
  • “Lance is a genuine good soul following in his parents footsteps. He donates all kinds of funds to various programs, all under the radar.”
  • “Melanie serves on the PTA. She has helped with our carnival, bookfair, PTA dinners etc. Lance donates supplies and helps with the Rodeo Reading Challenge.”
  • “They have both jumped right in and served on our Community Council where they have great questions and give us great feedback developing our student improvement plan. They are totally invested.”

Lana Hiskey, Nebo Community Relations Administrator, said, “The education of our students is much more enhanced with the support we receive from business partners like Lance and  Melanie Wilson. These generous business donors truly make a significant impact on Nebo teachers and students.”

“My mother was an educator in the Nebo School District for 30 years, and my children are now the beneficiaries of the quality education offered by the Nebo School District. I guess you could say, I am a staunch advocate of the Nebo School District and the work they do!” exclaimed Lance Wilson.

When asking Lance about his Nebo support, he said, “After having been so richly blessed by this amazing community as a young man in the school system, my hope has always been to give back to the community and school district that helped shape me into the person I am today. A dad, a husband, a business owner and proud member of the Spanish Fork Community. My hope is to pay it forward to the next generation.”

Thank you Lance and Melanie for being such incredible supporters of education across the Nebo School District and for being a part of the Spanish Fork/Salem Chamber of Commerce. You are both true Nebo Heroes.
