Springville Junior High and Spring Canyon Middle competed at the BYU MathCounts competition held this past month.
Springville Junior High took 12 math students and had a team win First Place. Springville Junior’s First Place team are from left to right: Payton Pratt, Neil Payne, Mrs. Taylor, George Bassett, and Preston Lefler. Springville Junior’s First Place Team will compete at State.
George Bassett, an eighth-grade student at Springville Junior, competed as an individual and placed in the top two and will compete at State. Luke Pratt, a sixth-grade student at Spring Canyon Middle, also competed as an individual and placed in the top eight competitors as a sixth-grader and will compete at State.
