2022-2023 District Employee of the Year – Rachelle Randall

Rachelle Randall – Spring Lake Elementary
Custodian – Employee of the Year

“Nothing gets by Rachelle. She is very proactive in taking care of this school and our needs. If anything needs repair or attention, she is on it, often before we have time to ask. Rachelle leaves riddles on her door each week for all to read. She is very easy to work with, has a positive attitude, and interacts remarkably well with the students. We love having her here at Spring Lake.”

Wilfreta Scheetz – Salem Junior High
Child Nutrition – Employee of the Year

“Wilfreta is among the hardest workers to be found. She is self-motivated, takes initiative when something needs to be done, and does the job right. In addition to her conscientious work ethic, Wilfreta brings positive energy wherever she goes. She is consistently pleasant, genuine, personable, and treats everyone equally. Her unique ability to spot problems and find solutions while maintaining kindness is a service to her school and her department.”

Teresa Stewart – Rees Elementary
Educational Technician – Employee of the Year

“Teresa consistently goes above and beyond her duties to ensure students and staff feel supported and cared for. She does a lot behind the scenes and is so willing to do anything that is asked whether it be supervising the crosswalk, covering for someone, or extra supervision at lunch. Teresa is ALWAYS pleasant and happy and a joy to be around! We are so lucky to have Teresa as our art teacher. Everyone loves Mrs. Stewart.”

Ryan Hiatt – District Wide
Maintenance – Employee of the Year

“Ryan is always willing to help others with their projects as well as doing a great job in his own field. He is responsible for keeping up on the maintenance of our outdoor areas such as playgrounds. Ryan does a great job on keeping the equipment safe.”

Miranda Hjorth – Advanced Learning Center
Secretary – Employee of the Year

“Miranda runs the ALC. She is not only highly effective, Miranda has the most pleasant and fun personality. She treats people so well, even when they are difficult. Miranda takes care of all the secretarial duties for EVERYONE at the ALC. Name it, and she takes care of it.  Miranda truly does it with a smile. She is so pleasant and fun on the phone. Miranda is just a true pleasure to work with.”

Jana Wilson – Maple Mountain High
Special Education Services – Employee of the Year

“Jana shows up every day with a smile and is ready to work as hard as possible. Jana is known throughout the whole school because she makes each person feel special. Students love her, parents sing her praise, and staff come to her for advice and help. Everyone knows that Jana will drop everything to help them. She's invested in Nebo School District, and helping each and every student.”

Tricia Nielson – District Wide
Technical Services – Employee of the Year

“Tricia is the epitome of a hard worker! She can knock out data tasks with incredible speed and accuracy and doesn't shy away from the hardest, seemingly insurmountable tasks! She is always on top of her work and looking for new tasks to be sure our student data is accurate and complete. Tricia cares about people as much as she cares about data.”

Jamie Christensen – District Wide
Transportation – Employee of the Year

“Jamie has extensive knowledge of the transportation department. She communicates all of the changes and updates. Jamie takes care of all new employees, conducts the random drug testing, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. She takes minutes for many of the meetings and updates more Google forms than is good for anyone's health. Jamie is here taking care of all of us in one way or another.”
