Nebo School Board Appoints Kali Brown as the Assistant Principal of the Advanced Learning Center

Kali Brown

The Nebo School Board appointed Kali Brown as the Assistant Principal of the Advanced Learning Center.

 Kali earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Utah Valley University, Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University, plus an Educational Technology Endorsement from Utah Valley University, and an ESL Endorsement from Southern Utah University.

Kali has been employed by Nebo School district for 20 years, beginning as a Transitional Technician at Art City Elementary for three years, followed by five years as a classroom teacher at Sage Creek Elementary. She next served as the Facilitator at Santaquin Elementary for one year, Principal of Spanish Oaks Elementary for seven years, and Principal of Barnett Elementary for the past four years.

In 2006, Kali received the Teacher of Tomorrow Award from Utah Valley University, a PEAK award in 2014, the Utah PTA Outstanding Administrator Award in 2016, and the Principal Mentor of the Year Award in 2023.

A colleague commented, “Kali is a very dedicated and hard-working individual.  She is very thorough in everything she does and is always on top of things she is involved in.”

Kali’s personal motto is, “Sometimes we are responsible for something not because we are to blame, but because we are the only one who can change it.” 

Kali is married to Garrett Brown and has four children, three son-in-laws, and six grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, camping, going to Disneyland, eating too much, and laughing way too hard.
