The students of Apple Valley worked together to honor Sgt. Hooser, who was recently killed in the line of duty. Sgt. Hooser worked for the Santaquin Police Dept and was a valuable member of our community. We were all deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing and wanted to express our respect and love to the Hooser family.

Viewing services were held at Apple Valley on Sunday, May 12. In preparation, each class at Apple Valley chose a way to honor Sgt. Hooser and all police officers by creating artwork and letters expressing gratitude for their service. Students drew pictures of police officers, wrote ways police helped them, made hearts and a giant flag out of their handprints, and wrote letters to the Hooser family. The hallways of Apple Valley are filled with beautiful tributes honoring a great man and his service to the community. We are grateful to Sgt. Hooser and to all the police officers who serve us.
