Sarah Brunson Appointed as the Nebo School District Safety Specialist

 The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Sarah Brunson as the Nebo School District Safety Specialist.

 

Sarah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University, Master’s Degree in Education from Southern Utah University, and multiple endorsements from Southern Utah University.

 

Sarah has been employed by Nebo School district for 20 years, beginning as first grade teacher at Spanish Oaks and East Meadows Elementaries for seven years, followed by three years as a Facilitator at East Meadows and Canyon Elementaries. She next served as the Dean of Students at Diamond Fork Junior High for one year, Principal of Mt. Loafer Elementary for five years, and Assistant Principal of Maple Grove Middle School for the past three years.

 

Sarah has received multiple awards including East Meadows Teacher of the Year, PEAK award recipient, and Committed to the Future Educator Award from Nebo Credit Union.

 

A colleague commented, “Sarah is amazing. She is a talented self-starter who makes things happen, never afraid to try something new or to take on a new responsibility. She is thoughtful, creative, outgoing, and a great communicator. She is definitely a natural, a consummate educator dedicated to improving the lives of students and teachers.”

 

Sarah said, “I have spent 20 years as a professional in Nebo School District and have been given countless opportunities to learn from so many of the very best leaders. Without these people believing in my abilities and taking a chance on me I would not be where I am today. I am excited for this new assignment and the opportunity to continue my journey of growth and knowledge.”

 

Sarah is married to Reese and has five children; Ally, Mayzie, Beau, Will, & Owen. In her spare time, you can find Sarah running, golfing, baking, traveling, reading, and finding sun and sand!
