Constitution Day, September 17, is traditionally celebrated in Utah by the Utah Bar Association inviting members of the Bar to visit public school classrooms to talk about different aspects of the Constitution. Mr.

Bryce Bird, social studies teacher at Payson Junior High, is extremely helpful to his fellow teachers. He is continually learning himself and is confident about his teaching ability. Mr. Bird’s wants to make every student successful. Mr. Bird is trusted by students and faculty alike.

Miss Kris Holley, Spanish Fork Junior High theatre teacher, was awarded Master Teacher of the Year at the Utah Advisory council of Theatre Teachers (UACTT) conference held in Logan at Utah State University.

Sage Creek Elementary’s Fall Carnival was a huge success. One of the highlights for the students was the Springville High School football players and cheerleaders. These athletes came and volunteered at the carnival.

Maple Mountain High football players take time out of their busy schedule to volunteer their time and read to elementary students. They want the younger students to know how important it is to read well.

Sage Creek Elementary teachers, under the direction of their new principal, Brenda Burr, performed and taught all students a dance on the first day of school to the song “Wave Your Flag.” The entire assembly was patriotic and taught lessons about the Olympics and how each student can be a Gold Me

Today, September 18, 2012, Walmart will award 20 Salem Elementary teachers with $50 reward cards to purchase classroom supplies that will help students start the school year off right.

On Wednesday, September 12, the Nebo School Board reviewed Board goals and received additional training by the Utah School Boards Association representatives, Richard Stowell and JoDee Sundberg.
