The third time’s the charm. This past year, Former Governor Gary Herbert planned to visit Spring Lake Elementary, but it was canceled because of one of the biggest snow storms that year to hit Utah County closed schools for the day. Then COVID-19 pandemic hit and that delayed more plans.
Camille Pearson, a third-grade teacher at Salem Elementary, has created a virtual after-school STEAM program. She teaches the content through the videos she makes, then the kids are on their own to create the projects at home.

Congratulations to the Maple Mountain High School (MMHS) Girls’ Wrestling Team who won the state title at the inaugural Girls' Wrestling State competition.
Maple Mountain collectively scored 192.5 points, with the next team scoring 144.
Nebo honors Westland Construction and Chris Houghton as the Spanish Fork/Salem Chamber Business Partner in Education Award for 2021. For over a decade, Nebo has been partners with Westland in building schools for our communities.
