Rachel’s Challenge was a huge success. Students from both Springville High and Maple Mountain High had the opportunity to participate in 60 minute assemblies where they learned about Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine High School shootings back on April 20, 1999.

Constitution Day, September 17, is traditionally celebrated in Utah by the Utah Bar Association inviting members of the Bar to visit public school classrooms to talk about different aspects of the Constitution. Mr.
Bryce Bird, social studies teacher at Payson Junior High, is extremely helpful to his fellow teachers. He is continually learning himself and is confident about his teaching ability. Mr. Bird’s wants to make every student successful. Mr. Bird is trusted by students and faculty alike.
Miss Kris Holley, Spanish Fork Junior High theatre teacher, was awarded Master Teacher of the Year at the Utah Advisory council of Theatre Teachers (UACTT) conference held in Logan at Utah State University.
